Birth of Modern Fiber Optics


This experiment measurement record show Dr. Donald Keck get a 17dB/km of a glass fiber sample (in August of 1970).... The show credit Charles Kao for the prediction of a low loss glass fiber, and credit Physicist Robert Maurer, Chemist Peter Schultz and Physicist Donald Keck for the creation of the first Low-Loss Glass Fiber over the world.
