From Iowa, Illinois to Ohio

#12, This is a gas station at a exit which is leading to Stering of Illinois -- there is a big sign said "President Ronald Reagan's Birthplace" 21 miles away north from here. Aother city Princeton of Illinois claims "President Ronald Reagan's Hometown" Posted by Hello


#11, This is a modern Rest Area east of Des Moines, it has automatic doors, even has a photo exhibition of Des Moines history highlight spot, one of them is a Vietnam refugee family arrived later 70's ...... I also noticed that there is a city called "Elk Horn", about 50 miles west of Des Moines, under the city name, the road sign says "Danish Windmill, Danish Museum" ... Posted by Hello


#10, This is my second driving itinerary, from Shelby Iowa to Maumee Ohio. Total about 651 miles. I did not have a good sleeping at Shelby because the Heater is too noisy, so I had two naps ... After entering Ohio, it became colder, fields covered by snow ... temperature is about 10 deg F ... Posted by Hello
